British GP - Spotlight on Carlos Sainz

British GP - Spotlight on Carlos Sainz

This weekend's British GP was what F1 racing was all about. There was the tumultuous qualifying session in ever changing conditions, which gave us a new pole man, Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr.

Raceday more than delivered too, but we were all delighted to see that Zhou Guanyu escaped unharmed from that terrible crash at the first corner!

The racing after that was incredible, frantic action all over, especially the battle between Perez, Leclerc and Hamilton!

Lewis had a great weekend and could have won that race in what was only the 3rd best car at Silverstone. Perez recovered miraculously from the first lap tangle with Leclerc. And Charles..., it's like Ferrari does not want him to win anymore...

But this doesn't take away from the winner, Carlos Sainz. He took advantage of the Safety Car period and his team's weird strategy regarding his teammate and scored his maiden win. I think we are all happy for Carlos, it had been coming for a long time. Well done Chili, I think we can drop the Jr. now from your name, no?

Model of the week

To start this new week, we are highlighting Carlos' Ferrari SF21 BBR 1/18 model from last year's 2021 Emilia Romagna GP. This highly detailed model features the intermediate Pirelli compound they started the race on and has been fitted with the missing Mission Winnow sponsorship, together with some extra wheel details.

If you're a fan of Carlos, don't miss out on this unique model, the car from this debut Ferrari season! Hurry up, because this is the last one we have in stock! Click on the image above to go the the product page on our website.
